Listing guidelines

What we accept

• Genuine businesses, sole traders, charities, clubs and public services operating in the UK.
• UK-focused websites that are useful to people.
• One listing per business location.

What we don’t accept

• Listings made only to get a link, or for sites with no real business behind them.
• Gambling, adult, weapons, counterfeit, “get rich quick” or illegal products and services.
• Fake addresses, virtual offices presented as shopfronts, or keyword-stuffed business names.
• Descriptions copied from another website. Write your own; it helps you rank.

How review works

Every submission is confirmed by email first. Listings where the email matches the business’s own website domain usually go live straight away. Others are checked by a person, normally within one working day. We may edit categories or remove listings that break these guidelines.

Links

Links to your website are included free. Links from featured (paid) listings are marked rel="sponsored", and unclaimed listings use nofollow, in line with Google’s guidelines.
